DESIGNED TO BELONG.

Eyewear in Sölden.

A frame shouldn’t be the first thing people notice. It should feel natural — on your face, in your view and through the whole day. For that, shape, lenses and everyday life have to belong together.

EYEWEAR, CURATED.

It doesn’t start with the frame.

It starts with the glasses you wear today. With the moments when they almost disappear — and the ones when something is missing. Perhaps the screen feels too narrow, reading takes more effort or your view behind the wheel feels restless. Perhaps the vision is still right, but the shape no longer is.

That is why I look at more than prescription values. I watch how your gaze shifts, the distances you work at, your proportions and the way a frame comes together with your face and your movement. Only then does a selection take shape that never feels like a disguise.

Form follows the person.

A frame gives the face a line. Its width, the shape of the lenses and the sweep of the temples change expression and balance. What matters just as much is what you still feel after several hours: weight, nose pads, temple length and how the points of contact are distributed.

Material and construction decide how light, refined or present a pair of glasses can look. At the same time, the frame has to carry the intended lenses properly. Lens size, shape and edge thickness affect weight, field of view and what can be made — especially with stronger prescriptions. That is why I never choose the frame first and the lenses second. I think of them as one object.

Three shapes. Three kinds of presence.

LESS CHOICE. BETTER REASONS.

Which distances matter?

It isn’t the product name that decides, it’s your day. Some people mainly need clarity at one fixed distance. Others move constantly between the road, a conversation, a screen and a book. One pair of glasses can bring a great deal together — but it doesn’t have to solve every task on its own.

Reading

Reading glasses are set to the distance that really matters to you: a book, handwork, sheet music or another close detail.

Several distances

Progressive lenses connect distance, intermediate and near vision. How they are divided has to suit your eye movement, your frame and your day.

Screen and room

Computer glasses create wider zones of vision for monitor, desk and conversation — where plain reading glasses often fall short.

Sun with prescription

Correction and sun protection are planned together. Frame shape, lens values, tint and use decide what can sensibly be made.

Distance glasses or a spare pair can complete the selection if you rely on your correction all day or want to keep certain situations deliberately apart.

Millimetres change the view.

Lenses differ in more than their strength. The lens design sets which zones of vision are available and how your gaze moves between them. Material, anti-reflective coating and tint are chosen for what you need in everyday life — not by brand name or price alone.

Centration is done on the frame you will actually wear. Pupil position, fitting height and fit have to line up. When you collect your glasses, I adjust temples and nose pads and explain how to use the new lenses. If they later slip, press or an important distance isn’t where you need it, I check them again.

FRAME YOUR VIEW.

Before you choose.

Which glasses should I bring to the consultation?

Ideally the pair you wear most often — and a second one you get on with less well. Together they show which shapes, zones of vision and details work for you, and which are missing.

Does every frame suit every lens?

No. Lens values, lens design, size, shape and frame curvature all influence one another. A good shape has to suit not only your face but also the planned optical solution.

Do I need one pair of glasses or several for everyday life?

That depends on your distances and activities. Progressive glasses can bring many situations together. For long hours at a screen, very short working distances, sun or sport, an additional solution can be calmer and more sensible.

LOOK FIRST. THEN CHOOSE.

Let’s start with the way you see.

Bring your current glasses and the situations in which you want to see more clearly, calmly or naturally. I narrow down the selection together with you. Your request is confirmed personally before an appointment is binding.
