Advice before selling
Understanding comes first: what a person really needs and how they want to see. Only then the glasses.
ABOUT FRANZ
FRANZ OPTICS is an independent optical studio in Sölden. Personal advice, precise vision and a deliberately curated selection of glasses are at its heart.
My name is Bernd Kaufmann. I am an optician and the founder of FRANZ OPTICS.
For me, good eyewear doesn’t start with a product, but with understanding: what does a person really need? What do they want to see? And which solution truly suits them?
I want to advise people the way I would like to be advised myself: personally, honestly and without sales pressure.
That is why FRANZ follows one simple principle: advice before selling.
A pair of glasses is both a tool for seeing and a personal object. It has to work optically, sit comfortably and suit the person wearing it.
FRANZ brings classic optometry together with a clear eye for design, material, proportion and function. Frames are chosen deliberately, vision solutions are explained clearly and decisions are made together.
FRANZ isn’t meant to be a place where any pair of glasses is sold as quickly as possible. It is meant to be a studio where choice feels manageable again, advice is personal and good vision comes naturally.
To me, independence means not being bound to any brand or any particular solution. What matters is what suits the person in front of me.
WHAT MATTERS AT FRANZ.
Four principles that come first at FRANZ.
Understanding comes first: what a person really needs and how they want to see. Only then the glasses.
Frames are chosen deliberately, vision solutions are explained clearly and decisions are made together.
Not tied to a single brand or solution. What matters is what suits the person in front of me.
Good eyewear doesn’t end with the purchase. I am still there afterwards for adjustments, questions, service and repairs.
